INNISFREE Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Hydrating (BLUE) Review

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Hydrating (Blue)

Summer in the Philippines, especially in my hometown GenSan (also known as GenSun), can be very hot and dry.  Spending even just a few seconds under the sun can already cause you sun burn and skin damage that will last a lifetime! P.S. this is not an exaggeration.

Since summer started, I also started a new skin care routine that includes everything that can give my face and body hydration. And I’m so glad that this routine includes the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Hydrating (Blue).  Check out the product details below and why I love it:

The volcanic cluster blue mask controls sebum and moisturizes your skin. It contains Jeju volcanic clusters and hyaluronic acid. The blue mask corrects the skin balance of moisture and oil to cleanly refine the skin while leaving it non-greasy. Its water gel clay texture allows it to be spread thinly and dries fast on skin.

Why I Love INNISFREE JEJU VOLCANIC COLOR CLAY MASK

1.       It helps hydrate your skin

Surprise! Surprise! The Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Hydrating (Blue) actually gets the job done. Its purpose is to hydrate your skin and it does. It also gives your face instant moisture which is really great. Although, I still recommend that you use a moisturizer, or in my case a night cream, right after using this.

2.       It balances facial oil

The day after I used this mask, I’ve noticed my facial oil factory lying-low for quite some time. This is really good! It lessens your oil but still moisturizes your face and keeps your face from being flaky from the hot weather.

3.       The Neat Packaging

I love Innisfree’s overall branding. They are neat and simple but still attractive. I think as a beauty brand, you really should keep your product designs as minimalist as possible and just focus on the how good your product is. Less is always more.

4.       It’s Skin-Friendly

I’ve actually read from another review that the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Hydrating (Blue) has a skin-friendly formulation that you can use this even up to 3-4 times per week unlike other masks. I haven’t tried using this four times a week yet but I’m planning to. I’ll give you an update as soon as I did.

5.       It comes off easily

Yes, you’ve read that right. The Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Hydrating (Blue) is not your typical colored clay mask that stays too long on your face even after you have washed it. One wash is enough (although I recommend washing twice just to make sure you get everything off).

Deal Breakers

1.       The Texture

I don’t like the texture. I know that it has a water gel clay texture but the texture is not any different from other clay masks. I had a hard time spreading the product on my face.

Tip:

If you are having a hard time applying a clay mask on your face, I recommend using a foundation brush. It will make it easier for you to spread the product and the

2.       The Smell

I’ve noticed this the first time that I used it. The Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Hydrating (Blue) smells a little pungent. It resembles slightly the smell of poster paint, although not that strong.

I can take the smell since you only have to leave this on your face for 10 minutes. However, I don’t recommend this for people who have very sensitive nose.

OVERALL VERDICT

I like the product very much since it delivers what it promises: hydrating your face.
